A choice of January pictures
The pictures show a January banner, a winter hat, a snow globe, a steaming mug, a birdhouse, a scarf, a snowy tree and a reading corner. Each page leaves open shapes for adding colour and small patterns. Use the winter theme where it suits your local season, or select the reading and mug pictures for an indoor activity elsewhere.
Build a month-start routine
Set out two or three designs when the class returns from a break. Children can finish one page during a quiet transition and add their own name or a short note on the back. A teacher can place the completed drawings around an existing calendar display. The pictures contain no weekday grid or dates to fill, so they can be kept and used again in another January.
Print a few pages at a time
Select the pages you want in the PDF print dialog. Plain Letter paper at actual size works for crayons and pencils; make one test print to check the border. Keep the remaining pictures in a folder for another week. If a group shares supplies, place several colours within reach and let each child choose a design before handing out paper.
